Your Financial Health and Security: A Message from Chairman, President and CEO John R. Greed
As various restrictions related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic begin to ease in each state and the economy gradually starts to reopen as summer nears, I want to thank you again for continuing to place your trust in Mutual of America. The past few months of this global health crisis have challenged us all—and continue to do so—in ways that none of us could have ever imagined. Through it all, I have been inspired by the remarkable outpouring of compassion and determination displayed by Americans in the face of this devastating virus.
At Mutual of America, we recognize that so many individuals have had to face difficult health and financial issues head-on at the same time and do their best to navigate through them, while also quickly adapting to new daily routines. Likewise, when most of our 1,100 employees quickly shifted from working in our offices all across the country to working from home, we focused on staying connected with our clients virtually and ensuring that all aspects of our investment and retirement services continued successfully without missing a beat.
Finding Opportunities to Connect
As a Company committed to providing personal, one-on-one service to our clients and supporting the important work they do in local communities, we also focused on new ways for you to stay closely connected to us.
That's why we've made it a priority to offer timely and helpful communications with up-to-date information regarding COVID-19 and its impact on the economy, employment, financial markets, saving for retirement, and small to medium-size nonprofit and for-profit businesses, including the comprehensive government legislation aimed at providing financial assistance and support. Some examples include:
Reopening Offices Gradually
I encourage you to reach out and continue connecting with us and to stay focused on your financial health while remaining vigilant with respect to achieving your retirement and investment goals. We are here to help you, always ready to address your retirement and investment needs, questions and concerns.
As most states across the country relax, modify or lift stay-at-home and shelter-in-place orders, we have also started to gradually "reopen" access to some of our offices, while also continuing to work from home. We are following health safety guidelines and social distancing practices at these office locations and are available for in-person one-on-one or small group meetings.
On behalf of Mutual of America, stay healthy and keep in touch. Let's continue working together to strengthen your financial health and security.
